It cannot weld 2 objects together without having the objects colliding. Unlike easy weld, regular mode is dependent on the side you select, meaning if you choose the left side of a chair and weld it to a table, then move the table to the right side, the table will always snap back to the left side of the chair.Įasy mode differs from regular mode, if your select the left side of a chair and weld it to a table, then move the table to the right side, the table will stay on the right side but not change the distance from the chair. Then select another object which you want to weld the first one. First select the object you want to weld. This will change the function between normal and easy, respectively. 
You can choose which mode to use with either the main action key (left click) or secondary action key (right click). To select the Weld Tool, hold and press the menu key (which is Q by default), in the tool list labeled 'CONSTRAINTS', select "Weld".

The regular one, which is used by normal people. The Weld Tool is a mode for the Tool Gun that allows to its user to connect a prop to another prop, wall, or entity, with a changeable breaking force.
